Author(s): Rezan Rashied Jaafar

Abstract: High school students around the world face the challenge of learning a new language, particularly English, which is considered the universal language of communication. However, due to the utilization of traditional methods of teaching, students often struggle to speak fluently in English. This report aims to explore the reasons behind this phenomenon and suggest practical solutions to improve the language learning process for high school students. Through comprehensive research and analysis, this report will shed light on the limitations of traditional teaching methods and the potential of integrating modern techniques to enhance language proficiency among high school students. Ultimately, this report seeks to help educators and policymakers in implementing effective language learning strategies that can benefit students in their academic and professional lives. Many aspects of self-teaching via story were ignored and teachers only weakly direct the activities toward learning fluent speaking.
