Towards egalitarianism: Computer technology based inclusive education

Abstract: For centuries millions of the lower caste and economically weaker sections in Indian society have been suppressed due to socio-economic prejudices. Post independence, the Constitution of India assured equal opportunities for its people. Reservation was one such major step to address the issue of the vast chasm of opportunities under the republic. Seven decades since its inception, reports and surveys showed that creating equality in all spheres was a slow process. Discrimination in acquiring Education is widespread and continues to be the main reason for social exclusion. In India, where discrimination based on caste and class were predominated for centuries, educational segregation continued to exist in a covert manner. Post covid, there has been a decrease in the gap between the have and have nots where education is concerned. This paper makes a study of the use of technology in Education. The paper proposes to investigate the influence of Education technology on the lower strata and economically backward of society. How has computing impacted the student? What are the new educational visages that can be beneficial to students of economically backward families?.AIM: This paper aims to answer whether Business technology has made Education in India inclusive?
