Author(s): Neiwu U Mekrisuh
Abstract: Adolescence is a critical developmental stage characterized by emotional fluctuations, stress, and peer pressure, all of which significantly impact psychological well-being and academic performance. This study explores the emotional challenges adolescents face and their effects on motivation, learning, and moral decision-making. Using a descriptive survey method that integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches, the research identifies academic stress, peer pressure, familial conflicts, and lack of motivation as primary concerns. Findings highlight the essential role of parental and teacher support in fostering emotional resilience. The study calls for a collaborative effort among educators, parents, and policymakers to implement intervention strategies and stress management techniques, thereby creating a supportive environment for adolescent well-being.
