Moral challenges in adolescence: An analytical study of ethical dilemmas and decision-making in Phek district, Nagaland

Abstract: Adolescence is a crucial stage of moral development involving ethical dilemmas, value formation, and decision-making challenges that significantly impact an individual’s well-being and academic performance. The study examines related to peer pressure, emotional instability and educational challenges using a descriptive survey method. Findings indicate that adolescents frequently encounter moral conflicts involving honesty, fairness, and ethical decision-making. The study highlights the crucial role of parental guidance and teacher intervention in fostering moral reasoning and ethical behavior. It emphasizes a collaborative approach among educators, parents, and policymakers to promote value-based education and ethical awareness. The study contributes to adolescent psychology by suggesting strategies for moral development, ethical decision-making, and fostering a strong moral foundation during this critical stage.
